Building a model with LEGO® bricks

Why become certified?

The Foundational Certification is designed for anyone who wants to build a solid foundation in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) methodology, preserving the power of the original method while enriching and adapting it to modern organisational challenges.

The methodology taught in the Foundational Certification has been co-developed with Johan Roos (co-inventor of LSP) and tried, tested and refined by Inthrface through over 2,500 workshops delivered worldwide, ensuring that the tools you leave the training with are not only versatile, but highly effective in addressing real organisational challenges.

DAY 2

From Method to Facilitation

9:00–18:00 | Welcome and breakfast from 8:15

We will introduce and train the 6 steps involved in creating a core application of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method, which can be used for infinite purposes.

We will discuss, reflect and apply how to develop, plan and run a tailor-made application.

We set up a task to uncover the substance of a subject — for example, strategy, the team or the ability to innovate — from different orientations.

Each participant builds their own models and tells the story behind them. The group then brings the individual perspectives together into shared models based on the instructions.

You will learn how to facilitate the individual building of models and how to guide teams in bringing these together into shared models.

The ecosystem — for example, the team, the company, the project, the strategy or the ability to innovate — is created out of the shared models.

To explore what affects these systems and how, participants build the full landscape, including stakeholders, team dynamics, trends and other actors.

Dependencies and correlations within the ecosystem are illustrated through connections on the table.

This provides a way to embrace complexity, both internally and externally, while creating a space in which conflicting perspectives can exist simultaneously — just as they do in everyday organisational life.

We identify conclusions, principles and actions based on the knowledge we have about the ecosystem right now.

The objective is to move from building and exploration to shared understanding and actionable outcomes.
